Each Sunday, members of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gather to worship and sing sacred hymns from the book's beloved pages. Twice a year, a general conference of the entire Church is broadcast from Salt Lake City, Utah, where instruction is given by Church leaders, and hymns are sung by the member Mormon Tabernacle Choir. We are Barry Community Choir - one of the largest mixed voice choirs in the area! We rehearse on a Wednesday evening at Crossway Methodist Church, Court Road, Barry from pm to pm. We sing a wide variety of music, including classical, pop, folk, soul, musical theatre, using sheet music from our own library, and usually produce 2 concerts.

Once the printing of music became easier and more commonplace, choirbooks fell out of favour, replaced by smaller, cheaper, and easier to handle books and octavos.
